The Dark Pact. This book is not needed for basic play, but It is really nice to have, it offers the Race's of the Drow, ( Drow's are fun ) and the Genasi. Sadly there is only one class, that of the swordmage, There is a new Warlock pact. But there are a nice number of Paragon paths choose from. and adding that the back round of the Forgotten Realms it is a great book to have.
If you are playing D&D 4th edition, then you must have this book.Just because of new races, classes and talents is a way to expand your playing.Perfect.
I am not sure who wrote this book but it is more of the same 4th edition junk that is out there. They threw a bone with a swordmage and beyond that it builds upon the gutted Forgotten Realms world.
This book was a gift for a loved one. They enjoyed it even more than I did.
A good book to get if you wish to expand your knowledge about forgotten realms.
